Here are some pics of my 86 Monte Carlo ss. It was given to me as a christmas/17th birthday present from my dad. Its not too bad for a car that was free. It doesn't run but thats only because someone had stolen the carb, distributor and fan off of it. It also needs some body work since it was insurance totalled, but i plan on bringing it back to life before too long.

I need new front fenders since both of mine are bent. I also need a new front bumper cover cuz mine is all cracked.

This is the major body damage that i have to get fixed, it looks like the car got t-boned or something considering that the door has previously been replaced.

The steering column is cracked because some tried to steal it before i had it, so i have to replace that and while I'm at it I am going to convert it to a floor shift since thats what an ss needs to be anyways.

It needs a new back window since the current one is non existant

The Old and dirty underside of my car

Future Mods: Body work is probably gonna be the next big thing after i get it running and get it through the state patrol and emmissions testing. I cant decide on what color im going to paint it though i think i want black but i also like how these cars look in white and in silver.
The motor is coming out as soon as i get this one running and through emissions since i have a new rebuilt 350 that im going to put in. I think it will have some decent power, at least 330+ horse power. After all of that get done then i will do sound system, rims, and then last i will redo the entire interior.

Welcome to CD! It's sad to see a classic like this that's been neglected. Hopefully you can bring her back to life! Good luck, and keep me updated on your progress, LATER!

Well it needs some TLC but don't they all? Nice project though. Contact Mike at Mike'sMontes.com. He has all parts to fix your SS back up. Tell him RJ mentioned him. Later. PS. Stop by the MonteCarloSS.com boards. Later.
