You can do that to a car, I have seen it done a few times. There is a guy with a New Yorker (AC/AY body) that did do this successfully. If you do it, I would keep the OEM wheelbase if I were you. Are you going to try to make a tailgate or will it be a bed w/out one?

Dude, it looks like you will make a hella of a project here. I promise, it will be awesome when you are done. I am working with a freind to do the same thing to a Gran Fury, maybe... Anyway keep us up to date!!!! Look forward to seeing this!

Of course it's photoshopped. Read the title -> "PLANNED pickup conversion". Also, you CAN do that to a car quite easily. The sheet metal work involved is actually quite trivial, and chassi chassis reinforcement is no big deal either.
