This site is dedicated to my 1991 Chevrolet camaro Z28 1LE,R7U Canadian Players Challenge Race Car.
This is a rare car that was produced by GM to run in the players racing series. The series ran from 1986 untill 1992 when Gm gave it up due to the fact that teams were having to put out over $200,000 per race year. The series was started as a grass roots racing series. The cars were a show room stock race car, the unstock things that were added were the paint jobs, decals, roll cages and exhaust systems, other then that the cars remained stock.

I bought the car on February 14th, 2005 (Valentines day).
It was sitting at a local used car dealership, and i dont believe they knew what they really had!!!!!!.
The plans for the car are to find out if it was raced or if it was a unraced car that was sold to the public, if it was a raced car then i shall return it to the racing roots that it came from. For now its in great shape and runs strong.

The few things that have been done to the car prior to me buying it are a tinted rear window, alarm, keyless entry, removed the cat, and lowered 2"

What is a 1LE camaro? here is some info on it!

In 91 there was 478 produced and of that 289 had the (LB9) 305 Tuned Port Injection engine,(230hp 300ftlbs stock) and the (MM5)Borg Warner 5 speed manual as my car does.
its also equipped with the (G92) rear axle package.
These cars were built as light as possable, eliminating the stereo, foglites, air conditioning & T tops.

Swapped for light weight was an Aluminum driveshaft as well as spare wheel.

The brakes and suspension are the extremely awesome parts of the car such as, Big front brakes adapted from the Corvette,11.86 inch front rotors, PBR front, dual-piston aluminum calipers, specific front and rear shock absorbers,Lower control arms,Special deflected disc shocks,

For the hard cornering GM added,Special swinging fuel pickup in gas tank and special 18 gallon baffled fuel tank for fuel pickup down to .5 gallon reserve to prevent fuel starvation in hard cornering.

The R7U RPO code dosent do any mods to the car, it only designates that its a players race car.
