I purchased this car on Halloween Day 2004 with 46,000 miles on it. I always said the only Ford you would get me in was a 2nd gen SHO. Well, I was shopping for a nice family SUV when I was done walking the lot with the salesman and I hadn't seen anything I liked. We were headed back to the showroom when something blue caught my eye and I said, "Oh man, that's a really nice Taurus. I could never afford it." After walking away from the lot twice the salesman knocked $4,000 off their asking price and here it sits in my driveway. She may not be a 2nd gen SHO but I don't think I'd be able to find one with such low miles in such great condition. And since you can't get a "new" SHO I guess an SEL with all the options is the next best thing.
I see a lot of G4 Taurii around here. Mostly silver SE's... very few SEL's and absolutely none in this color. If anyone can tell me what color this is, I'd appreciate it. We've been trying to track down another identical Taurus for my wife and they all look like mine in pictures, but in person they're always a DARK blue. Is my color even a stock color or was it repainted for some reason? I have no idea.
Sadly we are in the middle of winter and I have no garage so pretty much any mods are waiting until better weather.
