BEFORE THIS CAR THERE WAS THE GOLDEN SIGMA (WHICH ALSO WAS AROUND THIS SITE) BUT DUE TO ANOTHER UNKIND ACT OF JEBUS I WAS FORCED TO LOOK FOR ANOTHER CAR.
THIS CAR WAS ORIGINALLY AROUND MY NEIGHBOURS HOUSE AS IT BELONGED TO HIS STEP SISTERS BOYFRIEND, WHO BOUGHT IT OFF HIS DAD (1ST OWNER) IT’S A 1979 CHRYSLER SIGMA SCORPION, MANUAL 5 SPEED 2LTR, LATER TO BE REPLACED WITH THE 2.6. HE ACTUALLY WORKED FOR MISTERBITCHI AT THE TIME SO WAS ALSO LOOKING AFTER IT WITH A LOT OF GENUINE PARTS.
SO ANOTHER NINE YEARS LATER I FOUND HIM AGAIN AND THE CAR AND BOUGHT IT TO NEXT TO BARGAIN PRICE. THE CAR HAD A NICE LITTLE RESPRAY, AFTER MARKET AIR-CON (HE WAS A MOBILE AIR-CON GUY) AND SOME CAM WORK DONE MIXED WITH TWIN SIDEDRAFT 38ML WEBBERS, EXTRACTERS AND 2 ¼ EXHAUST.
JUST BEFORE I BOUGHT IT, CAM AND WEBBERS WERE REMOVED AND SOLD AND THE ENGINE WAS A LITTLE WORSE FOR WEAR (TRADITIONAL SIGMA THAT LOVED TO USE OIL.) SO I TOOK IT TO A FRIEND WHO DID A PRO REBUILD OF THE 2.6, FROM BEARINGS TO HEAD, IMPROVED TIMING KIT, RODS, RINGS ETC. ALSO WHILE IT WAS OUT NEW CLUTCH CAME IN, OVERHAULD CARBY (STOCKY) AND REPLACED RUBBERS, SEALS & WATER PUMP.
IT EVENTUALLY DESERVED A 2” LOWERING WITH SOME NEW SHOCKS AND KINGSPRINGS AS THE ORIGINAL SCORPYS CAN FLY QUITE HIGH, NOT TO MENTION SOME POLISHED GARRET TUBOS (WHAT ELSE ARE YOU GOING TO PUT ON THERE?)
ALSO I CONNED ONE OF MY CABINET MAKING MATES TO BOX MY BOOT OUT AS IT WAS A BROTHEL IN THE BACK WITH JUST METAL AND A TYRE CHAMBER. FINISHED PRODUCT IS NOTHING SHORT OF PRO. SCORPY IS NOW FOR SALE.
