I sold this Forester June 23, 2006. I will be leaving this page up for memory and for reference. The new owner plans to off-road it and modify it more. Hopefully he will put up a page showing off his mods and adventures. Check out my new 07 FJ Cruiser in my garage to see pics of my current off-road vehicle.

Here's a one of kind 98 Forester that I've owned since new. It has seen allot of off-road use. My mods are for improved off-road use. The stereo sytem is a couple years older than the car, but is all top end Sony ES with Cerwin Vega Speakers. Still Sounds awesome and Loud. Also have Sirius and XM radio hooked up. Garmin E-map GPS, Cobra radar Detector, Cobra CB, and a Uniden radio Scanner. It has a 2 inch suspension lift and 2" body lift. the stock EJ 5-speed single range transmission and diffs were swapped for ea82 Dual-range part-time 4wd tranny with 3:90 diffs and Limited-slip lockers front and rear. Future plans were getting heavy duty off-road bumpers, side rock rails, roof rack and rear spare tire and Extra Gas Can carrier.

Lifted Measurements under front Y-pipe is 10" and 11" under rear diff.

After some BFH fender well adjustments I now run with 29" Super Swamper TSL/Radial 215/85r15's

GPS, XM, Sirius, CB, Radar detector, Scanner, Stereo with DSP Equilizer, Cell Phone, and 4 cigarette lighter plugs.

Spare Tire well under floor is now used to hold tool box, hand winching gear, bottle jack, jumper cables, bolt cutters, Folding shovel, etc.

Free Flowing off-road exhaust.
