I recently noticed that dirt seems to stay on my car. I get it washed and it looks nice, but even an hour later it is looking dull. My brother washed and waxed it when he was up for Christmas, and he was amazed that after waxing it, it still looked so dull. Any suggestions?

Okay, so I am totally new to this. In every sense of the word.
I just bought my first car, and it already looks pretty good to me. Every car I've ever driven has had a name, and this one's George.
George is good to me. Now I want to be good to George. He can outrun most of the idiots on the highway trying to cut me off, but that's as close to racing as I've ever been.
I've never worked on a car before except when my Neon was on her deathbed. I learned a lot in a short time with her. Poor Bessie. I don't know how, but I ran her brakes so hard that when I got them checked, I had only 1/2 a rotar on the right side. oops.
I know some guys that know people, but I don't know many people willing to show me anything about my car. I can't even change my own oil. But I want to learn. I want to watch other people work on their cars and learn what works and what doesn't.
See page 2 for pictures of George...
