Louvers

These are some aluminum Cragar rear-window louvers that I just got today (2/28/05). Got them for $70 from my friend's neighbor who owns a 1993 Mustang GT 5.0. I was just lucky to mention louvers to my friend in school one day, since his neighbor had a pair for his 'Stang but recently wanted to get rid of them. It was only way too good of a timing for me, and I asked my friend to see if he'd be willing to sell them to me, throw out a price of around $60 or so. $70 is still a pretty damn good deal, and nearly a steal when you consider that these usually go for $200 (Or at least what I could find for Fox-bodies from California Mustang). I'm gonna repaint them with flat black paint, and hopefully get them installed before next weekend, maybe even this weekend, and I can't wait for either day to come. These are really gonna make my Mustang look mean now!

And the time has come! Just today (3/5/05), I got around to painting the louvers back to flat-black (Look brand-new now), and installed them on the car. They really give the late-model Mustang an aggressive stance with some old-school coolness (Think of the 1969-1970 Mach 1s and Boss 302s with the factory-equipped louvers). They'll keep the stuff in the hatch area cool in the summer too, and they don't obstruct my vision at all. All I need now is a factory GT-style spoiler to really compliment the louvers!

Sorry it took so long to get back to ya!! Yea I used the lx hatch had to drill new holes and bondo the old up. If I remember right I think it had 11-15 holes in it from the lx wing. The saleen one uses 4-6. So prepare to bondo and drill new. Pain in the ass if you ask me. The 84 gt350 i am redoing now needs a new hatch mine is shot. Rusted all under it. I am going to get a GT hatch this time around so the wing will be a direct bolt on w/o drilling.
