It now sounds just the way I like it but I need a cap for higher volume/longer low level sound (ie long, deep bass).Summer 06, I installed a red top Optima Battery (POS I took this thing back and then another).During the summer of 2004 I had it Dynoed at Livernois after winning a couple of "Livernios Friday night Street Races" at Milan (one of the things you win is a dyno pass). It put down 284 hp and 308 ft pounds @ the wheels and they only brought it up to 5700 RPMs. This is not bad considering it hasn't been fully tuned and has 75K on the engine. It was replaced at 9000 miles by one of 6 other previous owners who many of which I think sold it thanks to the old drive shaft yoke. It started shaking like a crack head at just 90 mph. Hope I didn't forget anything and I will scan some pics of it when I get the chance.I have had it to the strip several times winning 2 out of 3 brackets I entered it in at the Milan/ Livernois Friday night street races. It's best to my memory and slips I can find is a firstname.lastname@example.org w/2.193 60 ft. I have had much better 60s but after I installed the poly control arm bushings to kill wheel hop it now spins into second gear. I still ran a 13.7.As of now (Jan 08) I have a small pile of goodies for the car but I want to save the have the engine rebuilt since I heard a tick, went to replace the lifters and found a mini switch on the TB and the old lifters were gauled to poop. This car has had a hard life, harder then intended for but it is in good hands.OK, tick: lifters, gauled to heck and found a mini switch on the back of the tb! The engine still made good oil pressure and used none at all but I wasn't going to put it back together like that.BFG Comp Gs, well, not so new but never really had a chance to enjoy them since the car was put up on stands just after I got them. They still smell new and have been in a well sealed garage. I would run them all day personally.I removed body kit, it's for sale except for the spoiler. I prefer the stock lines other then the GMMG cars which I don't mind at all one bit.Had the girdled differential cover installed, and I actually noticed a lil less lag off launch! Sweet!New rack and pinion, but I saved the old for rebuilding/restoration. So quick and tight now! June 2010 Fast forward:This car is up for sale. I stored it on jack stands until the move and always inside of course. The tires might be flat spotted from storage over the year but I would still not be too worried. The intake is off but I kept everything covered with many layers. As far as I know and can tell the car was only driven by one previous owner a few times during one winter in Southern Indianapolis but he did have a gravel road so the wheels are a bit nicked up as well as the nose of the car. The only spot of corrosion at all on the car is a small bubble on a seem under the car. The rear axle and front control arms are pretty clean for the miliage as well as the k member. It does need some body and paint work on the rear quarters and front end panel. I also removed the body kit so the rivet holes need filling as well. If the kit is wanted I will toss it in but it needs work also. Someone added headlight covers in the past leaving small holes in the front end panel. The paint is original and the doors, hood, roof, deck lid all look show niclye considering the miliage and age. The interior is perfect except for the headliner sagging a bit over the drivers seat and the right side kick panel having one screw hole worn out/cracked. I even found what I think is the original salemans card under the console!The big things are obviously the engine and transmission needing a proper rebuild. The trans was sticking in gear and getting a little noisy (shift rails and gears are worn out) and the engine is explained above. I must thin the herd due to health problems and priorities.
