These pictures show the rust holes in the cowl area. The picture on the left is from an outside view when you take the cowl hood off. The picture on the right is a view from the inside of the car. There's rust holes where the dash should be. I didn't see all this when I bought the car, and the seller(crook) didn't tell me anything about it...Thanks. This repair is gonna cost me about a grand because we're gonna have to replace that whole cowl with another piece from some other 510.

I also have to fix the upper firewall. The rust just had a feast on my car!

Finally got the old firewall out by cutting the whole dam thing! Here's some shots of the firewall, the inside if the cowl, and a side view (notice all the welds).

A part of the pillar where the antenna went had to be cut out and replaced with one with no rust.

Here's my door that has rust...what a surprise!!... Before my friend's dad replaced the bottom part.

Here's the door after the bottom was cut and replaced with new metal. My friend's dad sprayed rust sealant on the inside also. He's still gonna bondo it to smoothen it out when I can get the whole car painted.

The car came with new fiberglass fender flares... but it seems like everything I bought from this guy is just shitty, cuz the front fenders don't fit on the car... they're too short and don't line up with the mounting holes (short by like an inch or two!). The guy said to use a heat gun to stretch it... b.s again! It sucks when you give some people the benefit of the doubt.... I sold these flares to some guy at the Datsun 510 meet in Gardena for 150-- for the whole set.

Finally put in the KA. It's not wired up yet though. The front spoiler was installed too. This particular spoiler is called the "flex dam."

check out my new website: www.oldschoolimports.net.
I put up some recent updates with the KA24DE in the engine bay.
