racklez's 1996 Saturn SL-Series

My car, 1996 Saturn SL2, bought around the beginning of August 2004 (used to drive a 1973 Volkswagen Super Beetle... big difference). It's an automatic (bleh), but it has a sunroof, power windows, locks, and mirrors (even if they are broken, I still have them!!!1), umm.. cruise control that doesn't work, dark green exterior that needs a new paint job, and the people that had it before me put a tow package on the front.. obviously to tow it behind a camper or something because they drove through wet road paint and splashed it up on my hood o_O . But, with a little help, the tow package was removed. That's all I can think of right now. Hey, my car has character.

racklez's 1996 Saturn SL-Series Oh, as for audio... sometime around September 2004 my Dad ever so nicely bought me a whole new set of speakers. The ones in the car were pretty much blown, but it still had a nice Kenwood head unit. I got a set of Kenwood 160W speakers for the front, and some 120W Duals for the back (pretty good, considering together they were the same price as two pairs of Pioneers, and Best Buy was out of those at the time).

racklez's 1996 Saturn SL-Series Other than my audio, I'd say that I don't have too many bragging rights :( Although Jason (gacklez) insists that my car is pretty decent as far as HP and torque (sorry, haven't brushed up on my stats lately). I would gladly save up for a shiny new paint job, but Mom plans on selling my car once I go to college. Sniff.

racklez's 1996 Saturn SL-Series One thing that I am interested in changing about my car... I need suggestions about what I could do about the red strip along the back. I really think it would look a lot better without it. Post suggestions in the guestbook, please. :)

Enough about my car... we're all rooting for Jason to get his Acura Integra :)

If you want to really get that car to move do a auto to manual trans swap, it's really not that hard. I had an auto in my car and put every bolt on I could and it still wasn't a sub 16 second car. It's worth it.
