lessthanjabo's 1979 Datsun 280ZX Welcome to my Cardomain site. I am a proud owner of a 1979 Datsun 280ZX. THE SWAP WAS COMPLETED!!! Sorry I haven't had time to update this site, however due to me needing a new "Family oriented car" the Z is FOR SALE... asking $7,000 obo. Feel free to leave a message or email me at jtborden19@hotmail.com

Click to see A video Ryan and I made a long time ago, showcasing the Z before the swap... In all her glory!

Thanks

Thanks for your comment, I just wish it was me who had 400 hp, our yellow ZX is real slow compared to our blue ZXT (200hp) so I can imagine how fun it must be to have the V8 engine.

Well, I've been saying that there's probably not another V8 ZX for miles, but here's one in my own town... Granted, yours is a lot further along (I don't think I'll even get around to putting my motor in until this summer), but it doesn't hurt to share some ideas. I've got quite a handful with mine because I spend most of the year at Birmingham-Southern, while my motor is in my girlfriend's garage and my car is at my house about 35 miles across town. I tend to keep myself busy with school and working enough to fund this project, but I can always make time for car talk. Where are you located and what shop is doing the swap?

sweet V8 set up, it's gana fly. tell me, the 700R4 trans you swapped in. Is it the same length as the stock trans or did you have to customize the drive shaft length? I was thinking about doing a V8 swap also. Hope it goes well for you.
