OK time to start the restoration/ build up...

Cut out rust and welded in metal plates. Trying to keep it simple.

Here is that entire area fixed up and getting the all mighty roll cage installed. Welded it myslef. Might not be the prettiest, or certified, but oh well, good enough for the street. Ties the frame togeather very well.

A shot of the entire rust zone fixed up, welded, and metal calking applied as a back up for the welds to make sure that they are water, and air tight.

Just in case anyone was wondering how much bar clearance u need up top. Enough to slide your hand through. Remeber the headliner needs to go there.

Finally the rear, that part of the car will get more interesting on the next page

Testing out the new POR-15 Undercoating, looks good and strong

Can't forget underside rust, this panel on the rocker, was totally 100% rusted away...

The damn wheel well was rusted, and I dunno about you but I can't bend metal this thick to weld in place, so I used many small squares. Worked out just fine, i will show the coated side on the next page. A lot of guys seem to have this problem, and this fixes it just fine for next to nothing. (>50 bucks, if you have a welder. ($200)
