OK well this is gonna be my first NON-picture update ever. So I guess if you are a hardcore watcher of my site, then you will read this, if not, no biggie. The next set of pics will be the car fully painted!
Here is what has happened so far.
I called a handfull of places and found a guy that mainly paints thirdgens. This is a huge plus. He had about a month wait, so I waited. I fianlly drove the car for the first time, and all went well. Sounds like a TANK. With that said,
I LOVE IT. 3 years and 25 grand later, I would have done it just the same way again. This is gonna be a mean street beast.
Here is what is being done at the body shop. Full paintjob, jams and all. THE LAMBO HINGES ARE COMING OFF!!!
This is due to finder fittment issues and the $ to get everything reworked just a bit. I don't care for the lambo hinges enough to deal with it right now. I am having them cut off and saved for me. I will try again, some time down the road maybe.
Anyways, The GFX emblems are staying and the rear bumper and nose as well. The blinker lights, antenna hole and side markers are all history. As well as the lock cylinder holes. The handles are staying, but getting painted body color, which if you wanted to know is gonna be stock Arctic White. I love the clean smoothness of white.
Well its been 1 week and the guy said he needs about 3 more. Since the lambo hinges are going, he has to get 2 other doors for the car. Sux, but oh well. life goes on.
Right afer she gets painted, it is straight to the dyno for her. A couple hours of tunning by the pros and she will be all set. Also making sure all systems are GO.

and so on. I can't wait to have another set of eyes take a look at all I have done and let me know what is not 100% right. Will give me piece of mind.
