I hope that I have time to complete this page. I meant to set one up as I started this project over 6 months ago, but I just have trouble finding time to get to it. I have trouble enought moving my miata project along much less a web page to go with it.
THE GOAL: Build the best possible track miata that is still street legal and can be driven to the track
I set out to make a track toy that was cheap to run and could run down all but the fastest cars at the track. I have owned some pretty serious machinery in the past, so I want this thing to be a beast.
THE PLAN: I will attack the project in three stages. I am currently into stage two.
1. Chassis - Strip to the bone. Add an integrated rollcage, race seats, and harnesses.
2. Suspension - Replace all bushings with Poly. Install Advanced Design race-spec coilovers custom valved to the car.
3. Power - Achieve 200 reliable whp. Still debating options.
Weight Removal (Partial List):
- Driver and Passenger Seats replaced with Sparco Atlas full Carbon Fiber race seats with fixed aluminum brackets

- All A/C Components removed
- Convertible top completely removed
- Cruise Control and all components removed

Weight Removal (Left to do)

- all seam sealant needs to be stripped
As always, I do not have a lot of time at the moment, so I can't get into details but here are some teaser shots:
Car as it sits:

The Interior (Yes those are full carbon fiber race buckets - this will be wuality top to bottom)

The car when I bought it (33k miles and $7500 out the door). I turned the boulevard cruiser into a monster.
