Well I attended my first show of the season and forgot the camera. There was a lot of nice trucks, good turn out. That evening I was cruising around and doing some side to side while I was driving, and my passenger side bag blew a whole. It was just a hole and luckily did not completley burst. I was able to pump up that corner every few minutes and made it home. Really weird. Has anybody else had thise problem with the universal bags? There was no rubbing and KMS Tools exchanged the broken bags on warranty. Well I am on to my 3rd bag for the front. It seems that each side takes it turn. I have no idea why it keeps on happening nad no one that I have talked to can help me. It was allright at first but now it only seems to happen when I want to go cruising. Can anybody help me. Is there another bag that would work for my application that is more durable? Does it have anything to do with the way I installed the bags? Is the travel of the bags to much? Could it be that the bags are not rated for the weight of my bags?
Well I finally got around to making some wheel tubs. I could'nt find any that I liked to by so I ended up buying some sheet metal and making my one. I cut the metal the way I wanted too and then rolled the metal over my brother's 33s on his blazer to get the right curve. It ended up working pretty good. I had a guy I know's friend tack them together so I could fit them. Now all I have to do is find a welder that can weld them into my truck. Hopefully I can get that done soon. Well I got tired of waiting to get one of my friends to weld my tubs. I got a welder and on friday after work, day before the car show. I taught myself how to weld. I got my tubs fitted and welded in. I seemed sealed them and painted them. Had it all done just before 3 in the morning. It was nice to finally drive my truck, not worrying about rocks flying into my cab and being able to do burn-outs. Here are a bunch of photos from the langley Days car show. It is held every year in langley. They shut down most of downtowns langley's core. This year they said there were upwards of 1600 cars. This is my buddie Richard's caddy and my truck after the show.
After getting ticket last summer deeming my truck unsafe for the roads I had to get it inspecected. This is my truck on the way to inspection. Without a government inspection, in Canada you can not insure a vehicle. Without insurence I can not drive my truck, so this was a big deal. Luckily it passed and everything is good to go now. Its tarting to get nice out so hopefully I will have some more photos soon.
