This is my '88 Nissan Pulsar NX SE:

It has a 1.8l 16v twin-cam motor (CA18DE)in it, and a 5-speed manual trans (RS5F50A):

I bought it on Dec 4/04 with intention of racing it in the Canadian Tire street-studded class of the Thunder Bay Autosports Club series. Whewww, what a mouthful.

We first started by stripping the car down, I wanted to remove as much weight as possible, especially in the rear end, where you don't want any weight. Here is some pics of us stripping the interior out:

Here it is all stripped out:

There were a couple of small holes that we found around the rear fender well:

I patched these with some 18ga sheetmetal that was cut and stich welded into place:

Notice the rear cage mounts welded to the shock-towers too.

If you have the top half of your engine still in decent shape I may be interested. Leave me message.

thnx for the comments man, the sr20 swap shouldnt be too hard seeing as you are skilled with the welder, you will need to fab some mounts, i think you will have to trim a bit out of the driver side engine bay to fit the tranny, the wiring would probably be your hardest task that is if your not used to it,but, since you have the full nx2000 at your disposal, its shouldnt be too too hard, just swap everything over from one to the other, you will also have to swap the dash harnes and or make yourself a custom cluster with aftermarket gauges, that is if you even need the cluster, other then that, its just, cut, paste with the lights and relays, good luck with your car and good luck with the races contact me if you need any more help
