We bought the escort for $800 back in may 2003 and it took Dad almost 2 years to complete.
So this is my escort about 1 week after we bought it,as we had just started working on it.

And this is what it looks like now after almost 2 years!

I'm happy with it!
ALONG THE WAY SHOTS....
Well i thought i'd just add some more pics of the escort "along-the-way".
Heres a couple just after primer...

And here is some of the engine before it was put in, with the reconditioned 5 speed sierra gearbox and new pacemaker extractors... The engine is a fully reconditioned 2L, with twin 45mm dell ortos, new pacemaker extractors that lead to a 2.5" exhaust system.

Here are a couple of the escort getting prepped for paint, and while it was being painted...Lucky we know a guy who is a panel beater, so he did all the panel work; and we were also able to use the spray booth at his work to get the car painted.

And after it was baked!!

Here are a few pics of the car as all the major things are being put back into it... New brakes, lowered king springs and of course the 13" minilites on 215/50/13 low profile yokohamas.

And the interior: consists of reupholstered black vinyl, new black carpets, autotecknica sports woodgrain steering wheel, pioneer head unit, pioneer 6's in the front and pioneer 6x9s in the back... AND MOST RECENTLY (as of november 2005) THE CAR NOW HAS REMOTE CENTRAL LOCKING, KEYLESS ENTRY, IMMOBILIZER ETC SO THAT'S KINDA COOL!

This is almost finsihed!!!
As you can see, the bumperettes are on, the driving lights all the accessories are on. The entire exterior of the car is yellow and silver, which was the plan.

Getting close now!
And this is the car as is...only a couple more weeks till it'll be on the road!!

Hope you like!
