This is not my car! Just had to put a picture on my page. My car is a four-door version of this car, but my car doesn't have the cone nose on it.

mazdapickup's 1948 Studebaker Commander


My car will be chopped,channeled and widened to fit on a 1990 Crown Victoria chassis and will be shortened to make it into a two-door and give it a more hot rod look.It will be powered by a Ford 351 Windsor that will have a custom made centrifical supercharger. And C6 transmission with posie track rear. I'am still not sure if I'am going to make it into a convertible or hard top. But I'am sure that it will be fast.

Its sad that you plan on ruin a perfectaly good studebaker. There is one good thing about people who hot rod cars, it makes the value on my orgional cars higher. But do what you want to your car. I have spoken my peace.

awesome car, I love Studebakers. Sounds like an excellent plan for that, I like the blown 351 windsor part, I currently have an N/A 351W in my Stude, but I'd like to blow it in the future, although I'm not sure whether I'd want a centrifugal unit or a twin screw. I saw keep the top on it, go gasser.

Its pretty sweet but i reccomend and old man driving cap and a tobacco pipe
