Performance

Bought my intake, i got a cheap one cause i am building a turbo kit and plan to just use the piping later for the intercooler tubing. I got an APC not bad, not the best but not bad, got it for 109.00 i work at a parts place and get everything cheap. I will get it on the truck soon and then i can start on the turbo kit!!!

Got my fans in they are going to be nice behind the grill in front of the condenser. I bought two 12" Proform universal fans, they fit so perfect in between the factory housing, also got a thermostatic switch to control them. Plan on starting Sat. July 2 on them and getting some pictures up on here. There is going to be a hella lot of room between the engine and radiator now. TURBO HERE I COME!!!

New toys installed 7/17/05, Accel coils, Accel 8.8 custom wires. I can feel a little difference. Also, BIG ALSO, i picked up my turbo, intercooler, some piping, my blow off valve, and fuel pump for the low, low price of 235.00 dollars. Which is so sweet. I have got some connections in the performace parts world. Should be starting on my manifold soon, which i found out you can not use the CAVI manifold it sits too close to the engine, oh well.

Updated 11/3/2005
Sent my manifold for my turbo off to the local machine shop to be welded i should have it back be Fri. I also have a date at a local junkyard Sat. to seek out a oldsmobile quad 4 throttle body which will replace my factory one of 52mm to the olds one of 56mm. It is Said to be a pretty good gain over stock, and it won't cost hardly anything.

UPDATE 12/13/05
I finally got my pictures uploaded of everything i have done lately. So here goes.

Here is my new B&M Short Throw Shifter. Let me tell you, it was a chor to get it in but boy was it worth it. I went from a 6-8 inch throw to about a 4 inch throw.

Here is my new shift light, lnstead of putting in a tach like everyone else, i wanted to be different. I am using the shift light to tell me what RPM i am going by using pills installed in the tach. The current shift pill is set at 4600RPM. Easy to do also.

New MSD coils and coil relocation
New intake installed don't look bad i think, i can tell a pretty big difference in power and sound too. Took about 20min to put on. You can also see my custom battery install to the left, group 31 OPTIMA!

Here is a pic of my 240amp IRAGGI ALT. and custom aluminum bracket.
OK here is my new fans installed, 2 12" proform fans, took 4 hours roughly to install nicely. No wire mess, and they look and make my truck run like stock. I can feel alittle bit more performance. As you can see they look stock as stock can be. I also cut the fan shorud down to make more room for the turbo install. When i get my grill back in you should not be able to see the fans much at all, oh yea and when they are on they are very quite.

Here you can see where i installed my thermostatic switch, which controls the fans. The fans come on around 195 and stay on till under 195, they also come on anytime i turn the A/C on just like a factory electric fan car!

New Turbo manifold pics:
Here is the factory manifold and the turbo i will be using.
