Page ten: Older news

This is the older news that is basically from high school, 2004-2000 crappy 7 (A crappy year for this car). All I did was move the older news from Page 1 to here in an effort to keep the 1st page clean/organized.

Here's the older news, in it's original format, even including my old 'introduction/who I am/who the car is, etc.' that I used to use back in the day. Here's the older news:

12/21/2007- Well, it has been almost a whole year and one month that Brianna has been dead, and I have managed to work on her to get her back. The whole frame is all disassembled up front, and all that's left is to remove the condenser and the radiator. Currently I have to wait for a body shop to be free of all the morons that cannot drive in the snow, even though I talked to the body shop a year ago.

Here's a couple of pictures. See? I wasn't kidding when I said that I would go through the effort to bring a totaled and a very dead car back to life!

05/13/2007- Exactly one year ago was my prom, and my SC2 was a good car for that.
Super1994SC's 1994 Saturn SC-SeriesUnfortunately, something bad has happened to Brianna... It all started about half a year ago on Route 101A in Nashua New Hampshire... It was on the night of November 29, year 2006 at 5:00 in the afternoon... I was driving home from college (Yes, I'm in college for automotive training) and my algebra class... I remember it was a nice warm night so I opened up all my windows and the sunroof too.
Super1994SC's 1994 Saturn SC-SeriesThen this stupid black 2006 Chrysler Town & Country minivan (not so miniature compared to Brianna, my SC2) pulled out in front of me and gave me no room to stop, so I quickly stepped on the brakes to the point where the wheels locked up. I had a million thoughts running through my head but all I did was brake and calmly said "No...." as I rear ended the minivan, deploying the air bag. After the crash, I frantically disengaged both belts (The power belt too) and I saw the figure of an old lady stepping out of the barely scratched minivan through the smoke of the air bag, over the bent hood of the SC2.
Super1994SC's 1994 Saturn SC-Series I turned off the cassette player, which was playing The cars- 'Drive' at the time, and stepped out of my wrecked car. The first question that old lady asks me is, "How long have you had your liscence?' I could have been bleeding internally, and coughing up my vital organs, but I've had my liscence for so long... She left after the police arrived, in her black 2006 Chrysler Town & Country THAT WAS UNSCRATCHED! And I was left there, crying over the wreck that was once a symbol of my life. The car still runs and drives fine, but the crossmember above the radiator is bent, no headlights, no hood, air bag, etc. but my car is totaled; however, I will repair it. First I must fix my Firebird to drive that around, then I will fix up my SC2. Until then, Brianna sleeps silently in my backyard, covered... Waiting to be woken up to see the road once more...

...Funny, my tears are still crystalized on the hood from that night too...

Super1994SC's 1994 Saturn SC-Series

Hi my name is Philip, and I own a 1994 Saturn SC2. This car's perfect for me. I decided to name her Brianna, and I've owned her since late May of 2004, and since then lots of good times and changes took place. I got my first shipment of performance parts, so now my car's not stock. Before that shipment all I bought was Saturn stock parts to make my car stylish, nice, and not looking like it's 11 years old. Feel free to look around, and feel welcome here, because all car enthusiasts are.

The SC and I just chillin`. ( Literally. )
08/18/2006-Long time no see, I guess... I filmed Vice , and Brianna was the one of the stars! I wanted my Firebird to be my main car, but because it looked like ####, and still needed lots of bodywork, the SC2 was my main car! And it did a nice job too! I'll try to post my movie up sometime, whenever I find out how. But here's a few shots.
Super1994SC's 1994 Saturn SC-Series Here is a shot straight from the movie , in the middle of a car chase, god I love it when the camera focuses on the car and everything else is blurry, it makes the car look like it's going a lot faster. Damn. Sweet.
Super1994SC's 1994 Saturn SC-Series Here's a cool shot, before the car chase, My friend Craig (left, holding briefcase and checking his gun) and I waited for a cocaine dealer to arrive to bust.
Super1994SC's 1994 Saturn SC-Series My favorite picture, in the final scene I (On the left) leave the SC2 to go do the final showdown with Vincent the ulitmate drug rip off (Played excellently by Brandon), the time was right, a summer sunset in an area hidden by an enormous sand pile. The coolest place for a drug deal scene.

01/28/2006- Okay! It's been exactly one year since this cardomain site is up and to commemorate this one year anniversary, I've decided to open up MY FIREBIRD SITE. "The Banshee" needs a paintjob pretty badly (It is a project car, and I will be doing bodywork on it.), but looks can be decieving. Just like my Saturn SC2 looking basically stock, my Firebird has a low mileage, 5.0 liter V-8 that's in a good condition! Check it out! And currently thinking of some goodies to get for my SC2 right now.

01/12/2006- Wow! It's been about three months and one day since I last updated. Well, to start the year 2006 with my Saturn, I'll say Happy New Year everybody! And to top that off, I got my Saturn a few New Year and Christmas gifts. I'm going to change the lamps in the instrument cluster from the factory white to red or green, or to red and green for christmas! That'd be funny. (I'm getting both colors, just so I can change from red to green or from green to red. I always like a change of scenery. Sometimes I actually take out my center armrest for a change of scenery.) Because my Firebird has a red glow for the dashboard, I feel like customizing my Saturn that way too. Also I have fixed a leak in my sunroof. The front right drain hose was clogged right at the very bottom, so water would fill up the hose, and then spill into the sunroof. This drove me nuts, because after it rains there would be like a pond on the right side of the carpet. I took me like two hours to find where the clog was and I tested the hoses after and all four of them were good after. I think all Saturn owners should check these hoses once in a while, because it will ruin a perfectly good headliner (Mine was new and costed me $370.00!). Now the car is going along fine. There actually is one other thing that drives me nuts, my radio display doesn't work. Everything else works fine and it plays music very nicely, but the display doesn't light up or work. Whatever, I'm working on it. I have ordered a factory traction control and fog lamp switch. I'll install it and wire the fog lamps to the factory fog lamp switch, and I'm thinking I'll probably wire another cooling fan circuit to the factory traction switch. Even though a working traction control system would be very very nice, I don't have that kind of money and time. One last thing, I am getting brighter 194 bulbs for the reflex lights (See the previous entry, 10/04/2005) because they are kinda dim, and any of you who want Saturn parts from the factory (Or more like a large warehouse) you should get them now, because Saturn is slowing down, and the parts for the 1991-1994 SLs,SWs, and SCs are being stooped and there is very few parts left. Oh and my Firebird site is basically done, I'm finishing a few last sentences here and there.

10/04/05: Another update. I bought a new battery (The original one was getting pretty weak.) I'll put up some picutres of my underhood soon, because i used a special degreaser to clean my engine and now the engine looks new. I bought some new fog lamps (because my old ones broke. The temp. was way too cold for them and they becamse brittle, and umm, shattered.) I also got my hands on some really cool brakes. New rotors and ceramic brake pads make my car's braking power incredible, and I also replaced the drum brake shoes and hardware too. So All of my brakes (all 4 wheels) are new. Pictures will be up soon. Also I'm going to change the transmission fluid too and put in B&M transmission fluid. It works like a dream in my Firebird (in combination with a B&M shift kit) and the performance is soo cool! Anywho, pictures will be up soon.

...FINALLY after OVER A YEAR of planning (With lots of "breaks" in between.), I got the "Reflex Panels (or whatever Saturn calls them)" lights wired up. So the useless reflector panels next to the taillights light up with the taillights, so the entire strip of lights light up, which is pretty cool. I'll get pictures of those up soon. At night they look good, but in the day time (When it's sunny) they look dim, because the only bulbs that can fit in the panel are pretty small and they are dimmer than the regular bulbs, but hey it's a cool idea.

08/08/05: A small update. I just hit 110,000 miles on my odometer! Wow! Anywho, I had to say that so I can post the following info in this car site.

...As some of you know , I have been hunting for a third gen Firebird, and since 06/11/05, I've owned one. The story on how I got is long and quite frankly, I don't really want to think about it, so I'll spare you from pages full of the story. The pictures will be up soon, however I will now show you one picture of it so you will have something to look at.

the pic will be up in a little while, none of my pictures seem to upload (a real pain in the ass it is.)

...Okay, you can now all return from the edge of your seats. She needs a paintjob really bad, I will post the pictures when she's skinned in black and gold. I decided to call her the Banshee, because the sound she makes when you stomp on the gas, is a scream so loud it'll make all the people (and cars)near it #### their pants.
...My Banshee is a 1986 Firebird with t-tops and the 305 V-8. And when she wants to, she can get up and go, but right now she has several problems that I am fixing up right now.

02/28/05: My friend Craig and I (Craig is n00b_at_life on my friends list) were taking apart his interior and I took some photos (see page 9) and I am painting them now for him. I got the fog lamp photos on the site (see page 8), and I also started my own GT Interior! I will get photos once I finish.

04/10/05: Got my photos of my GT interior on here now. Go to page 6 to see. I also got photos for my friend Craig (n00b_at_life) on here. See page 9 to see. I am pretty confident that I'll get a Firebird for a project car, but I am starting to hunt for one. It'll be a wicked crazy summer, so the fun will start soon. Probably around the last week of April...

03/22/05: This is a major update. I have pictures of my new Black Saturn Emblems (They're really sharp!), and more importantly, my new Exhaust system! A new friend added to page 4. See performance page for exhaust, and exterior page for black emblems!

02/21/05- New item: Fog lamps (Pictures are now here!) and poll changed (See results of previous one on the bottom).

02/11/05- Sign my guestbook! Over 500 people since 01/28/05! Come on, that's like 2 weeks guys (and girls)! Obviously some of you are like in this site (Which is O.K.!), but not a lot of people have signed my guest book! (Which is not O.K, it sucks.)

...I'm sorry, I'm just stressed out, (One of my friends is in trouble, and we don't really know what to do, and he's on a tight budget, which hurts me on the inside.) so I'm sorry about that.
Also there hasn't been good weather lately, and I can't use my garages (They are being used by other family members), so I can't get some good stuff on headliner replacement in the Stock improvements page.

02/07/05- Got another movie of Craig's Sundance Duster doing a nicer brakestand. Go to the Car Show and Friends page (4). Working on a nice movie of my car doing one.

02/03/05- I managed to get a movie of my 0-60 MPH time in my SC, no other passengers, on an on ramp I love to boot. For any of you who might doubt my car's performance, watch this. When you see the screen light up that's when I let off the brake and give Brianna some gas. When if lights up, all the way to 5200 RPM in second gear (when I hit 60 MPH), you will see that it is exactly 8.5 seconds. You have to count right, not like 1,2,3,4,5, no, remember you start off in 0 remember? 0,1,2,3, etc. Ignore the sweet 50 Cent music in the background, just listen to the RPMs sing and the car haulin' ass. My car was totally stock. This movie is also filmed on a summer night with nobody around so don't worry about the car.
By the way, what I say in the beginning of the clip is "Zero to sixty test now" very quick, I didn't want to take my sweet time.

I also installed a set of 4 Bosch Platinum +4 plugs, which make my car start up in half the time. Combined with the performance ignition, these plugs are crazy. They actually have 4 spark plug tips, something I'd never think of creating, and plus I love Bosch, they make some crazy stuff.

Here's a movie of me passing by in the fall. Note the interesting sound Brianna makes after she passes by.

Poll #1 results:
Which Saturn engine has the best reliability?
LKO-(91-94 SOHC TBI):1
L24-(95-02 SOHC MPI):2
LLO-(91-02 DOHC baby!):8
??I Don't know??:2

...The correct answer was LKO (I'm pretty sure), which is the one that got the least votes, but they are all very reliable.

No i never did burn outs....it was more of just driving like an idiot.....the diff pin has a mind of it own. I have seen grandma-driven saturns with the diff pin out. As for snow im hoping mine last through the winter here. we just got a blizzard last week and the roads have been terrible

yeah it was like a gun shot went off under me......then a lot of metal hitting the ground, and after all that a lot of cussing. do not do burn outs at all in your car!
