Page 3 will consist of the subwoofer enclosure and the amplifier rack in the trunk. The subwoofer enclosure is custom fiberglassed to fit the spare tire well with the top of the enclosure made out of birch wood. The 2 cu. ft. enclosure will house 2 IDQ 12" d4 subwoofers crossed over at 50hz and power by a Zapco DC750.2 which delivers 780w under a 4ohm bridged load. The top of the subwoofer enclosure is lined with brushed aluminum to keep the visual effect in harmony with the overall color and trim scheme of the install. The area under the subwoofer grill is highlighted with orange glow neons.

Another part of the trunk build out was the amplifier rack to house the two Zapco digital amplifiers that will power the system. The amplifier rack has two sides. The trunk side for the amplifiers and fans, the interior side to house a power distribution center for the systems power. The rack is made out of 3/4" MDF and lined with brushed aluminum to maintain cosmetic integrity. Pay particular attention to the wiring detail. All wires are loomed and terminal connections heat shrunk and sealed with teflon. The wire looming is color coordinated to match the vehicle's color scheme. All speaker wires are loomed in orange, signal wires in gray, and ground wires in black. Any wires in red looms are power wires.
A word here about the Zapco Digital Amplifiers. These are awesome amplifiers! The DC650.6 delivers 60w to each mid-range and tweeter and 120w to each mid-bass. The DC750.2 delivers 780w to the subwoofers. All sound processing is handled internally by the amplifier through the Zapco 1/2 din controller dash mounted with the Alpine HU. It has a USB port where you can connect your laptop and tune the system through Zapco's tuning program. Through the program you can control output and input Gain, crossover mode & slope from 6 - 24dB, Q-Bass Equalization, Time Delay by both time and distance, and 10 bands of fully parametric equalization per channel for a total of 80 bands of parametric EQ ability! Truely amazing amplifiers!
