Welcome to my newly updated page. This Cavalier's system was designed and constructed to be a sound quality competition vehicle. The day after completing the install it won 2nd Place at the 2006 IASCA World Championship (Rookie Class). With a little more tweaking and tuning I hope it will be a strong contender for a World Championship in 2007 and beyond.

My new system was built by Jeff Smith and Calvin Thomas of Audio Designs Atlanta in Stockbridge, GA. If you have a chance check out his web site at www.audiodesignsofatlanta.com.

For the head unit we chose the Alpine DVA-9861 because of it's reputation as a great SQ unit and it's optical outputs.

The front stage speakers will consist of the Hybrid Audio Technologies Legatia 3" mid-range driver and L1 tweeter.

The mid-bass in the doors will be a pair of MB Quart 6.5" QSDs.

The subwoofers will be a pair of Image Dynamics IDQ 12".

Finally the amplifiers used will be from the new Zapco Digital Reference series. A DC750.2 to power the subwoofers, and a DC650.6 (6 channel) to power the front stage. You can check out these awesome amplifiers at http://www.zapco.com/.
