my head unit came w/ my car but i know how to install them. you have to buy a wiring harness for your car if ur goin from a stock unit to aftermarket unit. there not really that hard, but the only downfall is that civic's 96-98 have the keyless entry and door lamp tied into the stock honda radio. so when u install it, ur light wont come on when u open your door. but i think u can bypass it by leavin ur oem headunit hooked up and just shove it back in ur dash.
