this is my 68 ford mk2 cortina it used to be a 1600cc 4 banger with a column change gearbox. but now it got a chevy 229ci v6 and auto the engine is fully built with top quality components specs:custom winged/baffled sump, steel crank,shot peened rods/arp bolts,10.5-1comp flat top pistons rotating assem has been fully balanced,crane cam 600 thou lift/310dur,solid lifters,hardened pushrods.
the heads have been extensivly ported/polished ,large stainless valves,135lb springs,titainium keepers/collets, guide plates,roller rockers
on top we have a edelbrock victor jnr manifold, holley 465cfm 4 barrel, ignition is gm hei with a MSD6al and moroso coil.this engine produces 320hp@7000rpm
car has been paneled/painted in plain sleeper white inside and out has new rubbers,hood lining ,door cards and will have alloy checker plate on floor. underneath we have a gm turbo 350 with h/duty clutches and stage 2 shift kit also has a 3000rpm stall convertor. diff is a ford 8in with 4.11 gears and a mini spool
i have also converted the front to vented discs using toyota soarer rotors on mk3 zephyr hubs giving good brakes and falcon stud pattern all round the induction system is tall so a scoop was needed a modded cordia scoop looks good and is inconspicuous
