TURBO XECUTIONER GT
Ready for summer 2009!
This is Shiva-X's 1995 electric blue Mustang Gt with full Saleen kit and wheels, S-351 rear spoiler and cowl hood, manual 5 speed transmission, 8.8 rear end with 3.73 gears, black and gray interior, and no factory options. I had the engine pulled out of the VERTIBREAKER project car and installed it in this car, then I converted the Vertibreaker back to a 2.3 liter 4 cylinder. Then I had my buddies fabricate a turbo system for it... Here is a pic of the new engine, all other pics and data about the turbo setup can be found on PAGE 2.
TURBO PICS PAGE TWO!
This car gets driven hard, and has seen things a real Saleen should never see; a young driver, rain, hail, snow on top of snow super-blizzard, getting stuck in the level 3 snow emergency weather, pulled by trucks more than once, full throttle in near zero-degree through 110+ degree weather driving conditions, ruthless "power shifting for no reason exept for practice" everyday driving duty, horrid and merciless track abuse and crazy speed-experimentation, tire melting and radiator exploding extended and mechanically brutal burnouts, flames erupting from under the hood or out the pipes, rim cracking curb checks at 120+ mph with two wheels up on the curb and 2 on the road while racing, powerslides and e-brakes, drifting around blind corners, passing at high speed in the emergency lane, long periods of wide open throttle at 145+ mph including a 1 hour and 45 minute South to North trip through the state of Kentucky at midnite, and many many many other crazy insane things that most people wouldn't do to a car they hated, let alone a car they love. This is my XECUTIONER Mustang Gt, and I have many more stories and pictures and videos to come; and now its Turbocharged...
Xecutioner
Here is a video of the XECUTIONER versus the VADER GT on the street!
This 1995 Mustang Gt Saleen Clone is my fourth mustang, I bought the electric blue Gt for myself on my birthday on March 30th of 2002. It had all the Saleen body work done already and came with genuine saleen body panels, exept the hood which is a H.O. Fibertrends Cobra RR. Even the wheels that came on the car were real Saleen 18x8.5 in the front and 18x9.5 in the rear. I found out later on that the front two rims were cracked and bent. The cracked front passenger side had 3 cracks welded and they were already cracked again, so of course I had to buy all new rims, they are 18 inch Saleen Extreme replicas, all four are 18x9 with Toyo Proxy T1-S Tires, and I painted the brakes all white.
Motor #1 was mostly stock save for a few things, and the engine itself was in dire shape, very obviously worn out. I ran it at the track for my first visit ever to a drag strip, and it could only muster a 14.9 best pass, barely beating my buddy in the other lane with an automatic LX running a 15.0 et.
Motor #1 had full exhaust, and in the rear-end were a set of 3.73 gears when I bought it. The only other mods to the car was the trunk battery relocation kit.
I knew the car should be faster than a lousy 14.9, so We did some investigating and testing, finding that the motor had at one time had a supercharger strapped onto it, leaving telltale evidence of its installation and removal from the car before I bought it. It was down on power, had piston blowby, and the ignition had been retarded enough that we think it saw 12-13 lbs of boost, on top of that it was leaking from the hole they punched in the oil pan and plugged up. Sure enough, a few weeks later, two pistons cracked between the ring lands and the pistons started slapping.
Luckily having owned the car for only 3 months, the motor was replaced under warranty with a fresh 20,000 mile 95 5.0 H.O. engine, Motor # 2. A quick trip to the dragstrip gave me 14.2 & a 2.1 sixty foot and with the same mods as before and a fresh motor, but still hauling a full interior and about 75-100 lbs of car stereo equipment. Soon after that, I bought a Cold Air Intake Pipe, Underdrive Pullies, advanced the ignition timing to 13 degrees using 93 octane, pulled out the front swaybar and improved my driving technique, I finally managed to hit 1.96 60 ft on street tires and a quarter mile of 13.9@98mph, my short term goal.
These are some pictures I took with my buddies girlfriends car PROTON, a 2000 Mazda Protege. I think the cars look pretty good together, especially the backshot of both cars with those giant wings, but of course the XECUTIONER is the quicker of the two and better looking IMHO.
This is a picture of me racing on a bracket racing nite against my buddy in the Iroc Camaro Z-28 with nitrous. I managed to beat him this night, even though his car is faster, I ran a 13.94 with a 13.90 dial-in, the Camaro was untested that day and had problems, allowing me to win and go into the final round and claim first place trophy that night with a 13.92 run and a .501 Reaction light(which back then meant .001 from a perfect light.) There was some great racing that day, beating the camaro, I got revenge against my buddy in the Iroc who had broken my tranny in my other mustang a few weeks prior, at that very same track.
Here is the video of Shiva-X piloting the "XECUTIONER" Mustang Gt to victory against Chevy and Pontiac!
*UNDER CONCTRUCTION RIGHT HERE*
Motor #1 was full exhaust, 3.73 gears= 14.2
Motor #2 was full exhaust, 3.73 gears, cai, 13 deg timing, Pullies, better driving, no swaybar = 13.9
The next modifications dropped the ET even lower. Adding Mickey Thompson E.T. Streets, Steeda Shifter, Tremec 3550 II Road Race Trans, Mac upper and lower Control Arms, FMS Aluminum Driveshaft, Centerforce DF Clutch, Subframe connectors, then removing the stereo system, the car ran a best of 13.4@100mph launching from 5,000+rpm.
The pic above and the two below are track day pictures running at Tri-state drag strip running the best of 13.4, the next day I removed the double stacked spoiler off the back of the car and ran it again, for a best of 13.2@102.5 with about 220 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque at the wheels on a dyno at a Ford event in Columbus at National Trail Raceway in 2003 around the same time, with the stock block, heads, cam, and intake.
These are a two pictures of the car without the wing on the back end. I love how the wing looks, but the car has proven to be faster in the quarter mile by .2 tenths of a second and 2.6 faster mile per hour. On the highway the car reaches top speed much faster and could reach 5 mph faster on the top end. When you see me with the wing off, beware because I am ready for business...
These are some highway pics of me and a yellow 99 mustang 4.6, DELISHA GT, in the near lane "just driving innocently side by side," catching a couple good night shots of the car in action and wheels spinning. From 3rd gear @ 3000rpm my mustang would leave the bone-stock 99 gt quite easily. Although the modular motor was at its best on the highway, the overwhelming torque of the 302 pushrod would win out every time in this instance, and the DELISHA GT was slain by the XECUTIONER.
These are two pics I took in downtown Cincinnati before I entered the Cincy Slamfest burnout competition (see video link below and Page 7) Notice the rear wheels are different from the front wheels. I have my good wheels in the trunk. The rear wheels are real Saleen rims with almost new tires on them that I bought for 10 dollars each. I also had 6 more of these tires at home after this. The pic on the right shows the euro-clear carbon fiber tailights that everyone hates, but I love.
This is the interior, mostly plain for now but I have much in store for the future, including custom fiberglass with molded everything and a rollcage, car stereo system and many more guages. I am currently in the process of painting the interior all black, removing the airbag from the passenger side, stripping the interior of all unnecessary items and applying rhino-liner on the floors instead of carpet. I have adjustable color change 150mph dash gauges, an Autometer 5 inch monster tach and a momo shifter boot, and a moroso switchbox. The picture on the right shows the nos floormats and the leather seats I had in the car for a while which I borrowed from a friend temporarily. I loved how the seats looked but I had to give them back and here is the only pic I have of them. Damn they looed good, but I will just get racing seats next time.
These pics are with my girlfriends new hood(for her mustang, see below) placed on my car while it sits awaiting the new motor combo. I like how it looks so I will probably get this hood for my car or the triple scooped version. This is the most current picture of my stang, until I make the big push to complete the project: to be continued......
