Plymouth "Win You Over" Beat

Vanessa: The 2-dr post '68 Valiant
November 2005: The Valiant is sold, and now putters around Victoria, BC. :(
September 2005: A "new" 1966 225 Slant Six has been installed, and a matching 1966 tranny... which I found out (luckily, NOT the hard way), needed a rebuild. So with that all done, I was very happy, that is until my landlords decided to sell the house. Now I have to move, and where I'm going the car is going to kill me in gas. So, reluctantly I've decided to sell her, and if anyone wants it, the car on pg 4 as well. I'm offering both of them together for $2500 OBO, or the blue one for $2000 OBO. The blue car also has new tires and aluminum rims on it (TRYING to get a pic up). Basically, there's enough parts here to keep the car on the road for another 5 yrs or more. For anyone who knows how difficult it is to track down front drums, or tail lights, you know this is a fair deal. I just want her to go to a good home :)

I bought this very clean 1968 Valiant 100 in May 2001. Only 80,000 ORIGINAL miles, a clean, immaculate interior (still has what I call the "new-old car scent"), and of course, the Leaning Tower Of Power 225 Slant Six.
An old man bought the "metallic green" Valiant from Vancouver Chrysler in late 1968. As far as I can tell, the car only had two options: an AM radio, and power steering. No rear defogger, nothing. The owner's manual and the green repairs booklet were in the glovebox when I got the car.
The second owner was a guy in his late thirties who lived one city over from me. He found the car at a wreckers five years prior, and all it needed was a new engine. Turns out the old man forgot about the oil and ran it dry for sometime before the motor seized up on him.
So, aside from the '77 Aspen 2bbl "Super Six" Slant Six, and the absence of the AM radio (which I've got two in my other cars), the car is original.
Over the past 4 years, I've bought not one, but now 4 Valiants!
My second one, a 2dr '69 Valiant Signet was bought in December 2002 for $450 CAN. That car came with a set of aluminum rims, two mint 14" studded winter tires, another strong Slant Six (which I recently pulled for car #3), and many other hard to find parts.
Car #3, a 4dr '69 Valiant 100, was found on my way home from work one day in 2003. Middle aged couple bought it from its original old lady owner, and drove it for 11 yrs. They wanted to scrap it because the Slant Six had started burning oil. The body (pics will be up soon) was practically MINT! On top of that, a brand new rad, starter, alternator had been installed, and the brakes had recently been done. Drove it home for $500 CAN! The bearings spun 3 days later and the engine just about roasted itself. Slant Six from Car #2 was recently installed, and this car will now be my daily driver.
UPDATE: I Moved out recently and had no other choice but to sell this car. Luckily, she went to a good home and her new owner is doing a complete restoration.
Car #4, a '68 4dr, was found by my friend '4wardmotion' while he was out car hunting. The car was hit pretty hard on the pass side in '98 but wasn't written off, instead, classified a 'rolling wreck'. With 92,000 miles on it's 273 2bbl, this car has TONNES of goodies! I have a Mint hood, grille, interior, Ralley Gauge cluster (like those in '68 Barracuda's), new brakes, extra 13" rims... you name it, I have it!
In the meantime, here's more Vanessa!

Just after an ice storm we had two weeks ago. Poor car had to sit out in it so that the "Spirit" could stay nice and dry.

I even found an ORIGINAL Plymouth Shop Manual from 1968 at a swap meet 2 yrs ago, paid $50 CAN and it's been SUCH a moneysaver!
