Misc Upgrades and Repairs
My purpose for this vehicle is expedition style camping in remote areas, so it must be able to handle long distance logging road terrain with the occasional romp through mud and rock gardens. Nothing to crazy but it must be self-sufficient, functional and reliable. This is sometimes a problem because parts are expensive and im really cheap:) Lucky I turn wrenches for a living.
Pathfinder needs a lift. Trailmaster 3" body lift.
Before Pic
I have issues with this lift kit:
1) Bolts for the rear mounts were wrong (smaller diameter)
2) Steering shaft was a bastard to extend
3) If you do this lift remember to remove the safety strap around the driveshaft before you do anything!!!!
But it was all worth it after the first road test!!! WOOHOO!!

My donor pathfinder I bought for parts. Best investment yet
Ever wonder what behind the dash looks like? This is it when I did my heater core and found out it was just a loose hose clamp that was leaking
You can see the backed off clamp in this picture
Monroe Sensatracs all round including steering stabilizer and heavy duty load adjusting coil over rear shocks, keeps my ride height level at all times no matter how loaded the back end is!
Flowmaster muffler with custom dual pipes. Sounds really good!
Fabricated gap guards from floor runner
Yakima Bar round bar system with Thule box (permanently holds all my camping gear)2 Yakima King cobra bike racks for the summer and Yakima Powderhounds for the winter
New rubber!! BF Goodrich Mud Terrains 31X10.5R15 I was going to go with the 32" All Terrains but I went with these instead and im glad I did. They fit perfect with the body lift, they're more aggressive, and looks better without altering any driving characteristics like speedo inaccuracy, gears and fuel milage.
Interior. Avital alarm system, Garmin Navigation and GPS, Pioneer MP3 CD deck, IPod Video with RoadTrip transmitter/charger docking station, Cobra CB and fiberglass antenna, Fire extinguisher, Shovel, 10000 lbs tow strap and misc. recovery/tools etc.(red box)
I replaced my weak 60 amp alternator with a 110 amp one from a 95 Nissan Quest. I now have enough power to run dual batteries etc...
Fabricated this 2nd battery mounting bracket under the vehicle (this mounting position will only work with a 3 inch body lift and GM style side post battery) My plan is to only wire the starter to this secondary battery to ensure a guaranteed start even when the primary battery is completely drained. The blue thing is the battery isolater (not hooked up yet)
Warn Premium Front Locking Hubs
Hella 500 driving lights with 100Watt H3 bulbs
Full size spare, rear bike rack and rear lights with a manual switch to turn on for any occasion including blinding tailgaters!
New for 2006 - Black Daytona 15X8 Steel Wheels! Wider wheels make for a wider profile on my tires plus they look sweet
Pre-runner light bar. Brings the truck a more aggressive look but doesn't offer any real protection
Updated Nissan Idler Arm and Calmini Idler Arm Brace
DrawTite Rear Trailer Hitch
Custom roof basket with HiLift Jack attachment
