This is Black Beauty my 1995 NA8C Mazda MX5. It was built from a wrecked Japanese import and is built to Australian Production Sportscar regulations. The car was fully built at home in my garage by my father and I. The car was missing the last 12 inches of the back body so we purchased a rear cut and grafted it onto the back of the car. The back end is a 1990 model!!
In it's first season of racing (mine too!), the car ran faultlessly and claimed 3rd in class behind a Porsche 968CS and a Lotus Exige.
