This truck is now my brothers i got another 82 and sold this one to him. I will keep you updated on its progress, he has some awesome plans for it includeing a 350. Check my new one out, and leave some comments.

Hey everyone i just got a DOHC Inline-6 out of a 1986 Toyota Celica-Supra, to put into my truck. With a few mods i will have it in there real soon hopefully. I am also working on building a lift and will be able to fit at least 35". Pictures will be soon.

The Story of my 1980 Toyota 4x4 Pickup Shortbox

I got this truck after a love for the pickups look developed soon after my brother bought a 1983 pickup. I was looking for a truck like this for awhile when i found a kid at my school a just bought one. After finding out that the truck did not run just right and the kid happen not to know a thing about cars, i offered to buy it from him to get it off his hands. Anyways he ended up T-boning another toyota the day before i was going to get it. Loving the Toyota so much i bought it anyways for $300. It came with 31s and a topper on it that was just a plus. I founded out that it had a big crack in the manifold, so i put header off my brothers 2nd 1983 that he ended messing up but thats another story. Today i have put new fenders on and i got lots of new parts form my bro's truck that he ended up parting out to me. Excited to start my extensive plans for building this Toy, i will update you as if unfolds.

For restoration of this truck i have many ideas. My dad (that has been a painter/bodyman for 29 year) and my 3 brothers that love and know much about cars are going to help me. I plan on stripping it down to the frame and doing everything on the way up, from the tires to the paint i have it all planed, all i need now is the $money$. I am going to put a 3 or 4 inch suspention lift on it with 33 to 35, i do not want to go to big. The interior is going to be like a brand new car, with a nice system. Well i can go on for a intire page but you dont realy care what im going to do you want to see it done with the pictures. Will more photos will come along as i go on.

The pictures on this page are like a week after i got my truck. Several changes have happen between this time and now, like one thing the ugly topper has been removed. There has been some work to the body, aftermarket fenders, hood, and grill has replaced the damaged ones.

Here are pictures from the front, showing it after i had removed some if the parts damaged from the wreck.

Jesse,
Got any info on some simple swaps for the 80 yoda? I am thinking about doing one to mine, to mainly address fuel injection (due to choking out on any inclines) and a little more power, but havent found any sites that address an 80 yoda. Do you know of any sites that give engine options and what you would need to modify (ie mounts, wire harness, add ecu, transfer adapt, etc) Any help would be appreciated. Check out my 80 yoda page and let me know what you think. Thanks in advance!
