This is the lift page. Forgot the camera a few of the days but took pics of some of the process. We worked at my Dad's buisness yard that had a cement grease pit which was very nice (better that working underneath on your back.)
pic of the left "I" beam unbolted at the pivot joint. had to grind the heads off the f***en rivots to get the old bracketry off. This was the longest and hardest part. More grinding.(L) Up close to the axle pivot bracket.(R) kinda messy, the engine leaks oil (obviously) but hey, it prevents rust! . Rich set some sparks fly. I had to go to work so we came back for round 2 that night (we needed to finish before we went on the Road Trip to UCSB and Cal Poly to visit friends which was in like 3 days...) This was a cool pic from that night of the pit. You can see that the stereo is on. Ya, it was on the whole time we were working and the car started right up. Great battery! It's the same one that sent all kinds of black smoke in the air...when i accidentally wired my fog lights wrong. ya, that was not smart at all,i could have fuckin died. HA... Next, we had to pound the rivots out from the front. Found a great position to pound away :) This is a safe spot to work I swear... Finally, with RE-Conrad prying the otherside with his bare hands, the bracket is off. Now we put it all back together again like Humpty Dumpty was once upon a time. Even though they didn't actually put him back together again...
