Update on the Phoenix 08-28-2006

Well she starts and sounds great with open headers. I don't have her tuned yet. I am waiting till I get the exuast installed. Will try to get her close so I can drive it back home after the exhaust system is installed.

The biggest issue that I had lately was with the exhaust manifold on the passenger side. It was warped due to the fire. mounting holes did not line up. So I had a choice. Either purchase replacements or purchase headers for $100 more. Easy choice:

The ignition system was a little fun for me as well. Since there wasn't much left of the engine harness I had to retrace a lot of wires back. Currently I have the on wire from the ignition going to the alternator power wire. Oops. Doesn't shut off until the alternator stops rotating. At least now I know that my alternator works. I have to shut off by closing the butterfly for the choke.

Yea, I know, still need to clean the wires up. That, comming.

But, over all the engine bay looks great.

Currently the wires in the rear are not wrapped since I have a few things to clean up (like the ignition turning off with the key).
