Progress report as of 02-12-2006
Well here we go. I have already removed most everything from the engine bay to include fenders.
I have also removed the carb. It did scare me when I tipped it over and water came out of it. This was from condensation. I looked inside the intake and couldn't see any rust.
I have also taken this time to use RAAMmat BXT sound deadening. This stuff was very pliable at 45 degrees.
I also started working on refurbashing the wire harness. I do not reccomend the wire looms from Advance Auto. They are cheap and fold onto themselves. I'll post pictures at a later day.
03/28/2006 Update:
Well I finally started the reassembly. This started with a couple of fire wall components: Brake booster, Wiper motor, Heater core, Heater motor. These components need to be installed first prior to putting the dash back togather.
The one mistake I made on the assembly was not installing the heater cable from the heater core box through the firewall.
The dash is another story in itself. Start from the wall and away during your reassembly.
Here is a picture of some of the bling that will be going into the engine. I did receive my engine back from the shop today. Now comes the fun of putting it back together.
