So the journey begins to build a respectable dual purpose car up here in the woods of Maine. This is my project when I picked it up. The car is a real Z28 with very few options, making it a nice bracket racer.

After a long Maine winter, here we are, all loaded up to go to the world renowned Winterport Dragway, a very nice, local, 1/8 mile track.

Here's an action shot early in the car's development. The best performance so far is a 7.35 @ 94 MPH with a 1.64 60' time. Not too bad for a low-buck build up.

But of course, that wasn't good enough, so we got the bug the make a Michigan quality car (no offense). After 14 years in the Motor City, my standards aren't "local" if you know what I mean! Mid 6's on stock suspension?
Here's a nice shot of the subframe when it came out, and after a few weeks, all ready for paint
