Thanks for coming to visit. Please sign my guestbook. I'd love to see your car as well. You helped get me to #1 out of all of the Porsches the week of 2/7/05.

Maplewood Import Car Show 2006
Update after 2 attempts they finally got the color right and the car is put back together.
11-11-05 Well not much progress has been done since I was rear ended by a city truck at the end of August. It's been in the shop ever since and we finally got to see the 'correct' color that they are going to spray on their 2nd attempt to get things right.
After doing the bodywork I noticed that the color had too much metallic that made it seem almost orange in the right light. They missed a trim piece along the back brake light, caused the headliner to sag while in there and broke my switch to raise and lower the rear spoiler needless to say I was more than upset.

We just got back from a great weekend staying at our favorate bed and breakfast. We took a walk down by the river as well. Here are a couple of car show pictures that came out of regular camera we just had process. And yes, that's me down at the bottom of them in the blue porsche hat.
6-11-05 German carfest was today. It rained right after all of the entries were starting to be tabulated. Everyone started to run as soon as the first drops hit but we decided. We said: It's raining. Are we *not* going to get wet on the way home? Ok, let's stick it out then. We won some $45 car wax kit from the door prizes being given out.
Here is a link to all of them where you can view them in a slideshow type format.
Depending on which browser you might use there are controls at the bottom of the photos to control the rate of the slideshow etc.

Birthday! It was off and on again cloudy rainy weather but I took a chance and took some great photos at the Basillica and a couple of other interesting sites along the way.

Today I took out the a portion of the back seats and they are now black as well as the center console. I ordered a shift boot and will have to figure out how to deal with the ebrake as well. The real trick now is getting the seats out so I can finish up the carpet and trim. You can also see the Lloyds custom floor mats in these pics.

Maplewood Import Car Show is coming up on Sunday so it's time to show off a couple of projects I've been working on. First is the seats. I have decided for the time being to cover them versus replace them. So, as I'm learning the new thing is to cover them with neoprene. It actually forms better to the seats and provides a cushion that makes the seat even more comfortable.
The second project has been the interior. Now that I have these black seats and the cashmire colored older carpet I have decided to replace a number of sections since it was missing the front carpet sections directly under the front floor mats anyway. I'm still deciding but after the encouragement from my friends and neighbors on how the project is coming along I may do the rest which means the center colum (3 pieces) and the back (5) pieces and the back of the back seats (2 pieces). That's alot to since the six pieces I replaced took me an afternoon. I don't think I can get all of that done before Sunday.
I also upgraded the headlights to improve the output. I decided to go with the Sylania SilverStar bulbs but may try the cool blue ones instead if I can't get the H4 conversion accomplished this summer.

I'm really liking your 911. I want to get one someday and was trying to talk my dad into getting one over a 944 but oh well. Keep that porsche nice and clean and maybe I'll see your car around this summer since I'm from MN too.
