This is a 1984 Dodge Rampage that I bought 4 yeays ago. It really needed body work and I decided to fresh it up with some thing different !!!

rampagestudd's 1984 Dodge Rampage

I swapped the old carb 2.2 engine with a 2.2 injection from a dodge omni 1990.
At the same time I took the dash from the omni and slapped it in the Rampage. I also kind of mold the front end of the Omni with the back end of fender of the Rampage.

I found the slinding window in a salvage yard and also found the tonneau cover in a paper. The rear spoiler is from a Daytona that fits perfectly at the back. Next job is to put the 2.5 T2

Did you know that the '84 Turbo Rampage that was featured in Hemmings Muscle Machines magazine has been listed on eBay? Item #220135404779.

That is a very nice looking ride you got there. If you get a chance to sometime come check out my 1991 S-10 project truck and let me know what you think about it so far.

im using a cable shift setup from a dodge shadow ES.. cables are just right, Daytona cables are too long..
Its easy to adapt the stock linkage to a cable shift trans.. Sit em side by side and its pretty strait forward.. If you use a turbo 568 or 523 transmission from, "I believe" a 91 and newer? You can use a Neon Short shifter in it because its all the same.. had I have known, thats the route i would have taken.. My 555 has been regeared w/3.50 final drive so that the freeway rpms stay lower than the 3.85's.. keep in mind that a 555 is for a larger overall outter diametor wheeled vehicle.. When ya run the trans in a L body vehicle thats sportin a smalled wheel/tire combo, you get what I call the "mexico ride" ever see a regal on the freeway in the fastlane on 13" spoke wheels on low profile whitewalls? Nope.. at 65 their spinnin so many rpm;s that at 80 their doin like 5500rpm ;) Not too many lowriders around here understand what a gear ratio swap will do for em ;)
