2004: CLASS M "1982-1992" HEAVY CUSTOM
************************************************************************************************************************
Ok here are some more of the cars from Class M "1982-1992 Heavy Custom" that I was competing in.

This was the winner of the class. How? I can't imagine. From far awy the car is alright, if you can get over the outdated 80s pink grafix, the louvers, and the black outs! Last 2 just have no place on a "CUSTOM" show car unless you are trying to hide something! But up close there was so much wrong...

The blasted brakes were all rusty. The inner wheel was dirt and the wheel wells were dirty! Again not on a custom @ a National event!
In the engine bay, yes there was chrome all over!. Too much for my tastes, but there was also dirt in the nooks and crannies. The exhaust manifolds were a rusty mess. The reserviors were painted chrome in a can. These 2 don't work on a "CUSTOM". Now there were a few neat items, like the chrome cover on the AC box on the firewall & the polished stainless on the hood!

The Interior was clean, but Blah, so plain! Again some may like that, but definate wear extremly visible on the fabic on some places. The floor mats were ok airbrushed mats. Again fine for a reg car, but not a "CUSTOM" car @ a national show.

Not saying the car was horrible, but it had NO business winning that class. #1 it is not a custom...#2 there were other cars that were as nice and had much more attentin to detail.

Here is a wonderful KITT replica. The car was beautifully done...

Sadly KITTs are not recieved well at the Nationals. Why I will never know. They are part of what made tones of people fall for the 3rd gen to begin with.
I think they should have there own class, just like the anniversary cars!

The Candy Apple Firebird that should have won. Every year he is there and does not win. The car is near perfect. And its Candy apple red! The emblems are ghosted on! The engine bay is clean and has a nice balance of chrome accents!

The t-top etching is a nice custom touch.

It has a stock interior, but it goes with the color of the car so well and the 2 tone looks custom!

Though he won a few years back and maybe they are spreading it around?
