ACKFA ANTICS

This page is all a big joke for our club...hope you get a few laughs too!

OUr club has a mascot the is a monkey named Ackfa. He is passed around the club each month to the member that has the biggest mess up/fuax paus/set up that month. While you have him, he has to get a souvenir of your time together.

Well let me tell you, this monkey has been around. He stirs up trouble where ever he goes. From Martigras, slipping away at restaurants & Car shows, & talk about a wicked case of gas. Thank god for power windows. The things that happen when someone gives him a fart machine!

Whew! Man he has seen and done it all!

When Ackfa & I met!
************************************************************************************************************************

I should have know when group of fire ants commandeered my car show display and stalked me, biting every chance they had, that it was my turn! Well, then there was my run in with the armadillo... on the way to the Southern regionals Trans Am Show.

So it was finally my time to babysit the Monkey for a month. Oh Boy! Here is some of the time I got to spend with him... I figured I would share some of the chaos that I had to endure with Ackfa around. Enjoy!

Well here he is coming home from the meeting. I had the Dually that day.
I was going to go get the Scout and move it. We had to take the truck to the ACFA meeting to pick up the trailer from Mark and Melissa.

Well it was a long night that night. I think I was about this sacked when I got home!

Well the next Day Ackfa showed his true colors. I come home from Church and there he is in front of the TV! Channel surfing away! Talk about a couch potato. No sooner does he get in the house and he thinks he has free rein....

Then I get home from work the next day and I notice there are no messages on the answering machine. Usually there are a good 3-4 from Solicitors. I can't find Ackfa. Then I see a light from under a door in the computer room...

So it was more of the same for the next few days. Then Friday he was hanging out with Dot. Those crazy Anamaniacs! She is probably the only one who could keep him in line. Teaching him some more bad habits I'm sure!

The next week, he is back to the TV again! He even kicked Tibby (my cat) out of her favorite chair.

Computer again. Got to keep up with those emails. Have to keep up on the message board to see who his victim will be for the next month. A bit like Santa, he can sniff out the trouble when its afoot. Well needless to say this is how it continued....

We did spend a nice day out at the High Falls Park for the Club picnic. Ackfa had talked me into piercing his ear that day since NOPI was coming soon. He wanted to show those Ricer Boys what a totally cool monkey he was. That and he wanted to have something to show off at the picnic! Well he totally surprised everyone at the picnic. The chicks all really digged it, but of course the guys were suspect! Dan has the pictures from the picnic. Hopefully I can get some copies to post here!

Then it was NOPI time! We were all so excited. We had spent all this time getting RAIF ready.
I figured I could really put up a good showing this year! Atl. Motor Speedway here we come!

Well Ackfa heard about how the competators could go out on the Track the Friday before. He begged and begged to go with me. I said ok, not as a reward for being good. Come on Ackfa?! Not, just cause when else would he get the chance!. So I took him out on the track with me! Had him buckled in good!

Some of the officials looked at me funny, but so what! I could take a passenger!
Here we go!

So, I figured after all that I could depend on Ackfa to behave himself at NOPI. Boy was I wrong! First he sneaks out. I found him playing on one of the fence. Monkeys will be monkeys! They have to climb everything!

Well we got him down and lectured him about running off. Like that did anything!? Yeah right! Well he did stay put for the rest of the day, but the next day was another story. It was Sunday, the car had been judged. I was off to go talk to companies about sponcership. I told him to behave and stay in the car. It was raining, so the door stayed shut. I figured rain would keep him at bay, so I left the windows down. Well Ackfa showed me. He wanted souveniers! Back on the fence again.

A friend caught him in the act and took some shots! Well I could not say a whole lot. He did get me a NOPI CHIC sign. His way to say sorry for sneaking out the day before I guess.
Sneak out to say sorry for sneaking out? Ackfa logic! Turns out he got some young punks to do the dirty work.
You think he would chance getting caught untieing the sign?! Here he is retreating with his prize.

Now the long day pressed on. It was almost time for the award presentation. Ackfa wants more souvieniers...he got my knife out of my emergency roadside kit and got the sign for out section...

That was a crazy day. We decided to go home and get cleaned up and grab a bite. Well Ackfa was told he had to stay home. I figured he was a bit over-reved after seeing his sign insident. Well, I came home to find this. I wondered what he was up too. Why he cause such comotion at NOPI. So now I have the pics to prove it...

Well I took the bottle away, but the damage was done. Tibby must have heard him playing with the fart machine!

Talk about Passed out! Even Butler was worried and decided to check in on him.

Still out... Wow! Now I had heard stories, but never believed it.

Well the next day we whipped his sorry butt into shape. We had a lot of work to do on RAIF. And we did not need to have to deal with the likes of his antics.

It was Ackfa's last week with us and he wanted to make up for all his misdeeds. We decided to get some performance work done before the GAFBA Shootout. He actually got on the bandwagon to help! He got all outfitted for the work!

Well we had to give him to his next victim the day before the shootout, so no drag strip time for him. But hey, there's always next time!
