Friday Night Street Legal Drag Races May 11,2007,

On friday nights our local drag strip holds street legal races, so a few friends from our local BC Probe Owners Club went racing. I turned in my fastest time to date of 15.797@88.14 mph. During that pass I also destroyed my transmission, so I'll have to put in a different one tomorrow. You can't expect to go racing without breaking a few things.

Here is the a couple of pics of the carnage. I launched so hard that a fist-sized chunk of the case broke free where it meets up with the rear motor mount. Niiiice.

May 16th my new stainless dual tip muffler arrived. I had it mounted this past weekend with 2.25" catback exhaust. I also installed fresh shifter bushings which reduced the shifter play to almost nothing.

These shots were taken on my way to the dump to dispose of the dead transmission.
