This is my 1969 Pontiac Beaumont. It's basically a Canadian version of the Chevy chevelle. It shares most of its parts with the chevelle and some stuff like the dash is from the lemans/gto. The engine and drivetrain is all chevy though. Personally, i like this design better than either the chevelle or gto. I think they took the best parts from each. And the fact that it's made right here in Canada makes me like it even more.
Some details on the car:
1969 pontiac beaumont 2 door coupe with bucket seats and no ac ( i don't care because i prefer driving with the windows down).
Originally, the car had a 307 with a 2 speed powerglide in it. The previous owner put in a chevy 327 engine when he did a minor restoration in the early 90s. Basically he rebuilt the engine and front end and gave the car a forest green paint job. I was able to get the car off him for a cheap price since he had a baby on the way and the wife wanted to move into a nicer place and they were desperate to find a buyer. The guy had tears in his eyes when I drove off with it and burnt rubber right in front of his place lol.
I've had the car for about 6 years now, and since I've bought it, I redid the front discs and rear drums, installed a rebuilt 700R4 4 speed transmission with a B&M shifter, fixed a number of electrical problems on the car (nothing worked when I bought it and the battery kept on dying). I switched the oil pan to a moroso 7 quart street/strip pan and installed a set of hooker headers and flowmaster 40 series mufflers. I also switched the old radiator to a new aluminum one and hooked up a transmission cooler and a thermostatically controlled fan i got off an old van.
In the future, I'd like to redo the whole interior in black but keep it as original as possible except for perhaps the shifter, dash and of course a sound system. Definitely some 17" or 18" chrome mags for the wheels. The whole suspension system and bushings needs to be redone ( i don't think they've ever been changed since '69). And eventually a new 350 powerplant with aluminum heads should top it off along with a new paint job.

Nice ride, I have a 1969 Beaumont convertible that has been converted to an SS396 Chevelle that I am trying to find a new home for. Hope you can help.
