Here is my 88 Honda Accord DX. I really try to keep this car looking and running new. I get compliments on it all the time.
I got the car in 2001
Bumbers and side door guards were faded so I painted them and under the radio there is my switch panel it also has power outlets and audio RCA inputs so we can connect any computer or mp3 player up to my system real easy.
My system, not the best brands but its mostly how you have it setup and tuned that makes it sound good. People in my car think I have two subs, but its just a $50 JBL sub. I made this box, although you cant really tell, it hardly takes up any space in the trunk which is what I designed it for. The top part of the box is about 5" deep and the bottem is about 15".
I also painted the hub caps with primer, the color turned out to be pretty good so I left it just primmed. Chrome tail pipe cover thanks to Meijer, my automotive store.
With 30% tint including eyebrow.
Engine bay, clean but never been cleaned. No mods just stock minus the air intake that actually restricts air flow.
Switch pannel with power outlets and RCA inputs.
About 198,000 miles now(old pic), not that much for a 21 year old car.
MPG City = 26
MPG Highway = 34
Economy car all around while being a surprisingly roomy sedan.
Sport Suspension and Carputer
Lowered 1.5 inches. Sitting on H&R springs along with revalved bilstein struts. Nice ride with no body roll.
I tried to fit a cd player in there, but i couldn't fit it in there and it would be impractical without a screen. So when i get a screen the entire setup will change.
First stage was building the case for the carputer. Used wood and then carpeted it in one piece.
Cover with built in fans.
Testing the computer in my engine bay.
Finished I do not have CD player, but i dont need one when you have an 120GB hard drive for mp3s. The griffin volume knob does more than volume, it scrolls foreward or backwards tracks, stops, plays, and shuffles the music. Since i dont have a screen yet i use a keyboard to navigate to the song (I use winamp) so you just press J, type in the song and hit enter.
This is a photoshop preview of the finished project of the carputer when i get a screen.
Summer 2006 To Do
This summer I am trying to get the car running and looking new. I have replaced rotors, pads, calipers, drums, wheel cylinders, and shoes. And also my tires were bad so I replaced those but i wasnt just going to get tires for 13 inch wheels. They dont make good tires for 13 wheels when you have sport suspension so i had to get a bigger wheel. The main reason i got bigger wheels is for saftey, these tires grip really well and are all season, but of course if your getting bigger wheels you might as well get nice ones.

Winter of 2008
Installed a few preformance parts. Mild grind cam, pacesetter header and complete 2" exhaust, Weber carburator. The car runs completely different. Sounds much better and has a good increase in power. Nothing crazy but better.
2009-2010 To Do list.
So the new exhaust is crap. It has broken in half a couple times. I have it welded together and its fine but rattles. What i want to do is get the factory exhaust from an 89 Se-i. Its stainless steel and will last a long time. Also on the to do list is fix a few hidden rusty spots so they dont grow, put disk brakes on the rear. Clean carpet really good and get my screen installed for the carputer. Install camber adjustment on all four tires.
Sometime in the future
I want to convert the car to fuel injected and then convert it to ODB-1. Put in power windows, locks, and add a few extra interior lights.
