Below is my drivers side footwell as God and Ford Motor Company Intended it.

Below is my drives side 'floor box' which I fill with an 8" Dynaudio MW170

I replaced the SHO's stock trunk lift with an Oak prop bar (image on page 2). The prop bar was hazardous so Sound Shop (Hampton VA) replaced it with with linear actuators. I have a cold cathode white light in by amp rack, it is wrapped with 3M EMI tape to shield the electrical noise the cold cathode unit makes.

As a matter of fact I have a bunch of 3M products all over my ancient car.
- 3M damping tape 2552(dampens vibrations as well as Dynamat but at a tiny fraction of the cost)
- 3M Thinsulate is a global sound absorber for frequencies above ~500 Hz, it is the BEST at what it does and weighs 1/2 of what fiberglass batting weighs
- 3M polish really shines and protects as well as ANY product on the market
- 3M EMI tape on electrically noisy items to block the induced noise
- 3M electrical tapes and heat shrink for use in high temperatures (>600 Degree F) like under the hood

NOW for some OLD build pictures, it sounded good but man it was ugly

Above is a nice picture of my snake pit. This is how I lay out the system prior to doing the finish work... and prior to my Oak wood phase (in other words a perfectly fine ghetto install).
JohnVroom's 1990 Ford Taurus
Here is that install with an inexpensive Qform box... it was pretty loud for a sealed SQ system with only 200 watts per channel (McIntosh amp) and was still darn loud with just a US Amps TU4360 driving it (75 watts/ channel)

Upgrades needed

- The car needs new paint
- Supercharger (who doesnt need a SC?)
- Somehow mount my Dynaudio Esotar tweeters in the dash
- Modify amp rack to a simple and eligant 1/4 inch aluminum sheet with stealth and security features
- Modify trunk to include an Altec 'Voice of the Theater' clone horn like this!

I'm not into stereo's much, but you have a great SHO. Congratulations. I have a few mods on my SHO, but most is to make it faster, corner faster and stop faster. Bob
