This stripe design was conceived by Bob of CRDESIGNZ and his buddy, Steve. Steve created and Photoshopped the rough sketches of the stripe and eventually shot it with paint.
This project was in the planning stages for almost eight months. I've always wanted to stripe the car ever since I got it, but financially I couldn't do it for a while. I met Bob through the Lehigh Valley Miata Owners Club LVMOC Webpage, and we began to discuss the stripe immediately. Bob and Steve were great to work with and really took my budget into careful consideration. I couldn't be happier with the results! The car's personality has COMPLETELY changed!
BEFORE THE PAINT:
As you can see, Steve's spray booth is actually a stall in his barn, which itself is a structure dating from 1910. Steve told me that it's known throughout the county as the "new" barn because the old one (dating from 1870) burned down. . .
DURING:
AFTER:

The stripe consists of a 6" run of black coupled with two streaks of graphite along the borders. . .
Steve's property sits on several acres and boasts three ponds (one of which is pictured), barn, and a home dating from 1870. It's really a sweet piece of land in a quiet corner of Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania. . .

Steve and Bob state that the hardest part of the job was removing my license plate -- because the screws were rusted and apparently thread-locked in place (? ! ? !). But all in all their time was well worth the effort! Thanks for everything, guys! :-)
