Body work has begun.
I have started doing the body work on the S-10. I'm making some custom changes to it as I go along. As stated earlier I put a 2000 Style side bed on it. The style side bed is about an 1.5" wider on each side than the 1st gen cab. So I made custom steps for it to make it the same width and make the body lines line up. I am also retrofitting the 1st gen buschwhacker flares on the rear so the wheels wells look the same.

The new step in the process of being made and just about finished. I also removed the front of the box that flares out to meet the cab.

I installed new cab corners and rocker panels. The truck sat in the back yard for three years so they were starting to rust.

Since the new bed has no body line I besided to shave the body line on the cab. The truck is also so high it was a bit of a pain to get the doors open so I installed so 2nd Gen door handles down on the bottom of the doors.

Heres a couple of pics of the completed work on the cab. Nice smooth fender and door with the dropped down door handle.
