Well its been about a year now that I have been working on my truck. It started off, believe it or not, as a stock white Chevy Blazer 2000 ls.

And here is what it looks like today.

Well where to begin ? I guess my first decision was to raise the bitch. Even before I bought the truck I wanted to raise it.
I have a 6" Trailmaster lift kit, but am using the Ranch RS 9000X shocks with the in dash controller. I also used a 2" body lift to give me clearance for my 33x12.5 MTR'S.

To add a touch of custom to the project I decided a engine and transmission conversion would go over very nicely. I pulled an Engine out of a 1995 Chevrolet Tahoe as well as the transmission. I also put in an Auburn Gear Posi to help the lag on turns.
With any conversion you are gonna wanna make sure that your engine is running at prime, and of course you want to make sure it doesn't get damaged from over rev'ving; what could be a better answer than a MSD 6AL ignition controller with an adjustable rev limiter?!.

I got some Hedman Hedders to add to the cars breathing, and as you can see right behind the hedders i finished off the side with some 8.5mm MSD pro ignition wires.

I am dying to put a 5.7 in my 2000 Blazer as well. If you don't mind, I'd like to pick your brain as well. I have no idea where to start after getting a engine and trans.. or should I rebuild the trans that I have? Btw Super nice blazer. Its good to see a raised one. Lemme know if you have luck out of the swap.
