VINH VU'S SPYDER 280ZXT W/ FERRARI REAR CONVERSION

Valerie280's 1979 Datsun 280ZX

Hi All,

This is Vinh from HybridZ.com. This page will show you my Spyder Zcar project. I bought the car for $200 and completely stripped it down and rebuilt it. I put around $15K into it, not including countless hours of labor. It took me 2 years off and on and it finally came together. I did all the works and modifications on this car with the help of my brother.

This is a topless roadster. There is no convertible top what-so-ever. I thought about putting the convertible top on but after many sleepless nights thinking about it, I decided not to do it because it will ruin its look. I always keep a waterproof car cover in the trunk in the event it rains. I am thinking of building a piece of fiberglass to cover the area behind the seats but I've already started my other project. So this one will have to wait.

The rear end of this car is a replica kit from a 1960s Ferrari Daytona. I believe it was the car that Don Johnson used to drive in the Miami Vice shows. This is definitely a one-of-a-kind car. I can assure you that you won't find another one like it anywhere. Everything was uniquely modified and/or custom made myself. It is definitely a head turner. I get thumbs up from people of all ages everywhere I go.

I know you won't be disappointed visiting this page. Please bookmark this page and check back sometimes. Also please take a moment to leave me some feedback. I love to hear what you like and dislike about the car so I can make improvements on it. Thanks and enjoy yourself.

nice Z are you sure your trap speed was only 100mph @ 14 seconds? I did my crappy run at 15.1 w/ 98 mph trap speed.
