As of now, it's parked in the driveway, with a broken starter, and flat tire. I'm driving a 2000 Prizm at the moment, in the meantime.

This is what I was HOPING to do with it. But, never got around to it. And, I don't feel like upgrading the page from here on, so...until I delete it, enjoy the boring page :)

August 22, 2005 -
UGH! Well, less UGH now, than before. July 25th, my car just....died. Driving down the road, and just...died. Turns out, the timing chain either stretched or broke. It had been sitting for a couple weeks. Well, last week, I pulled a complete motor from a 95 from a scrapyard for about 140 bucks. I figured I'd spend at least that on a timing set, plus whatever else it might need, being an interference engine. So I didn't wanna have to mess with valves and stuff.

So it took me two days to swap the motors out, having to work around my work schedule and such. BUT, it's back on the road, and now I'm working again, so maybe NOW I can get somewhere with the thing.

July 7, 2005 -

Finally got around to fixing the driver's side power window. It needed another window motor, which I picked up at a scrap yard from a 98 4 door Cavalier. I also picked up a new rear-filler piece (to replace my broken driver's side one). The window motor wasn't too difficult, as long as you don't rush things. There are 5 rivets holding the existing assembly in the car (or 4 if it's a 4 door...on mine, there was a 5th in the upper right, by the connector). Get them out, and it's pretty obvious how it works. If anyone wants to know more details, just ask.

But I can go through the Drive Thru now! Woohoo! lol.

JUNE 10, 2005 -

Got the doors sprayed today (notice the lack of the pin striping, and also that the "Angela" name is now gone above the door handles. By the way, I haven't washed it today, which is why is looks the way it does.But the doorsdo actually match the front fenders and front bumper cover now. Hopefully, I'll get the rest done at the end of next week, or the week after.

And then, there was.... well, a different shade of white lol

Lesson # 144 - Always remember to leave the paint code, with the guy buying the paint lol. It's temporary at the moment anyway, until I can get the whole car re-painted. The main goal, was to get it all white again, and straight. So now I just need the new hood.

MAY 25, 2005 -

ACK! WHAT HAPPENED!?!?! lol. Took the fenders and bumper cover to be painted. They should be back on in two days (Thurs, May 26th).

And this was the starting point, back in January, when I bought the car.
