Obviously, the first couple of things you have to do is take off the black plastic radiator cover thing and the headlights and set them aside (I just set them in the engine bay without unhooking them).
I put them through the hole that was the closest to the hood bumper thing.

Here's how to modify the headlights for '95 to '02 models:

I didn't have a drill at the time, so I literally had to chisel a hole for the bottom of the hood pin to go through.

Here's the placement under the hood:
What I did to drill (I only had a small dremel) was...
Step 1: color the top of the pin with a pencil. I prefer a pencil or maybe even white out (something that transfers).
Step 2: close the hood gently to where it rests on top of the pins
Step 3: shake it enough to where the pencil transfers onto the bottom of the hood.
Step 4: open the hood back up
Step 5: drill carefully!!! Be careful that you don't use a drill bit that is too big because then you'll be able to see a hole protruding out from the bottom of the pin lock (once it's finished). On my hood there was a fiberglass underside, an open space, and then the carbon fiber. Drill through the fiberglass from the underside
Step 6: re-color the tops of the pins and repeat step 1 - 5 but this time, drill through the carbon fiber from the underside. The whole time, making sure the pins will go through the holes. If they don't, adjust your drilling accordingly. I had to do that a few times to get it perfect.
Step 7: Make sure the hood closes all the way with the tops of the pins protruding through the hood.
Step 8: Before you pull off the protective layer on the adhesive backing on the pin locks, test fit them. If the pins are too low or too high, adjust them accordingly under the hood.
Step 9: Once, you get them to fit right, pull them off and THEN you can pull the protective layer on the adhesive backing, and stick it to the hood in the desired location and orientation.
Step 10: Screw the pin locks down and you're done!!
Step 11: Shave a spot for the pins in the plastic radiator cover (so that you can put it back on)
Both sides like this:
Close the hood, stand back and admire your work!
(oh, and take some pictures)
This is what the final product looked like for me:
Here's what it looked like for Misnblu's 1997 Cavalier:
Special thanks to Misnblu for allowing me to use some of the pics from his installation!
