My '01 Explorer Sport 4x4 with the 4.0L SOHC and 5R55E 5spd auto trans. This was when it was stock and I swore I wouldn't modify it.

I actually resisted the temptation for 3 years! I can't leave anything alone. Most of the mods I've done were rationalized as necessary maintenance...might as well upgrade since the parts needed replacement anyway...right?
After new Rancho RSX shocks, Explorer Express rear stabilizer bar, F150 spring upgrade, mild TT lift, and 255/70 R16 (30") Bridgestone Dueler Revo A/T tires, it drives and handles 100x better than stock in all weather conditions, on and off road. The stock shocks were junk from the factory and the stock rear springs had major sag. The rear height increased about 3" over what it was with sag and the front was lifted just enough to be level with the rear.

Here's a few camera phone pics taken at work.
Mine next to friend's at stock height...I gained a couple inches from the spring swap. I mostly wanted to lose the sag. Its hard to see the height difference in the 2nd pic, but you can tell if you compare the side mirrors.

Parked next to one of our test cars at work. That Ford GT is low!

Then I added Gibson stainless steel exhaust, Curt class III tubular hitch, Volant CAI, and Xcal2 tuned by Doug @Bamachips, Pioneer Premier P8MP H/U, XM, JL Audio 5x7" speakers and 10" subs, and Kenwood amp. Also switched to 265/75 R16 (32") Dueler Revos for a little more height and to fill the wheelwells better. Still need to take some interior and engine pics then finish a page for the truck.

Now has 33" Nitto Terra Grapplers and another inch of lift.
Wish list: Heated seat inserts, rear diff rebuild or e-locker, 4.56 gears for frt & rr axles, power adder (when I decide what type to go with), and maybe a 3" body lift.

My old '00 GT. It was bought back by Ford under the Lemon Law. It was alot of fun, but was always in the shop. It was actually the replacement for my black '00 GT vert that was also a lemon! I might post a list of all the problems sometime...it'll be alot of typing though.
