--------------------------EXTERIOR----------------------

Shes back together after the deer incident.

Broaner's 1989 Nissan 240SX

6/3/06 I decided to go out cruising for the first night since the 240 was back together. It was a great night up until about 2AM when Mark managed to hit the only deer spotted the entire night. Mark shall forever be named "Deer Slayer". Pics of the result.

The plan originally with this car was to not touch the exterior until it ran 12's and handled like an F1. Well, plans change. Mark hit a deer. That kinda altered the plans for the rest of the summer. I originally planned to get the parts I needed to put the blower on over the summer. Now I'll just go ahead and begin this winters project early. That is front suspension, brakes and body.

Silvia Triple Projectors Headlights The latest craze seems to be the double bulb square lights. I agree that they do look pretty good but I want really good lighting when I go on weekend cruises at night. Eventually I may get some HID's for them. The projectors have a great cutoff but they are totally in the wrong direction due to being designed for left handed roads.

Silvia Corner Lights These are kinda self explanatory. They match the headlights. I got them used so they aren't in great shape. I'll probably get new ones later.

DRFT Silvia Bumpers There are tons of bumpers available for the Silvia front end. I really liked the M Sport bumper because of its clean lines. I contacted Taka Kaira but turned out it was going to take over three months to get it. So I settled on the DRFT bumper. I like the fact that its got a real clean lip. It looks great and it will allow easy mounting of a splitter. I got it in glass so I could modify some of the holes and lines in it. I plan on filling in the OEM blinker holes, the body line pinstrip type thing and some of the odd contours under the grill.

S13 Silvia Version Select 20mm Front Fenders I really had a hard time deciding about these fenders. First I couldn't decide if I wanted OEM sheet metal or wider. Then I couldn't decide which brand I wanted. Then I couldn't decide if I wanted 20 or 30mm. Anyway, I decided. They fitment isn't good. I expected that. For now they will just be mounted and cover the 255 or more tire that I plan on stuffing up front. I'm still not sure I made the best decision. We'll see when it comes time to do the finish body work.

Great job on the VQ swap. I was on maxima.org when I spotted the weight on your sig and had to investigate. It's nice to see a race car built on a reasonable budget.

i also was wondering why you got another racing seat. why not just take the one off the maxima if you are parting it out anyway? and y did you sell the blower if you are going to run boost on this engine? btw, you should paint it all black or something... like the part gold part flat black looks like shit. but this is really the first 240 with this motor? ehh personally i woulda got a 300zx motor or something with a little more horsepower, but good luck.
